I got asked about regular expressions when I went shopping yesterday! I was wearing my Regular Expressions T-Shirt and one of the girls on the checkout at Sainsbury's asked me what they were .

I hurt my neck getting out of the eaves a couple of days ago, and it's still very very sore. The satellite disc is now working, I believe.

Actually managed to clear away some of the climbing plant that was covering the satellite dish today. However, I still can't get a signal. I think it's become misaligned. Or there's still too much up there. Possibly both.

Dreaming again last night about saying good bye to people. I seem to be doing that a lot recently. In real life as well. I'm tired tonight, again, but I've got a feeling I could just stay in bed all day tomorrow if I wanted... it's not like it matters.

Then again, I'm watching some 'Dead Like Me' episodes that I'd not feen before (somehow I'd missed them) and the question arises of what I'd want to do if I knew it was my last day. I guess I just don't have an answer really. I know what I wanted to do, before. But that not being any sort of option now, I don't really know.

Busyish day today, and yet I really only managed to write one, relatively simple script. Lots of odd little things getting in the way otherwise. Didn't finish doing things until about 7pm - I don't know how that came on all of a sudden.

Slept very badly today, didn't get to sleep until about 6ish and then slept till 11, which isn't too bad I guess. Dreamt something about a bank robbery or something, with fun notes that you could change the serial numbers on to make them 'valid' by programming the case they were in. Very odd. Waking at 11 is bad even for me, but Neil seems ok with it at the moment. I don't feel too bad because I was still doing things until 7.

Julian pointed me at 'Alice and Kev', which is a quite emotional story of a homeless dad and his daughter... in The Sims 3. It's really quite good, and on-going so far.

My dreams are back to hating me more than usual. Last night's dream was a continuation of the previous nights that wasn't all that fun. I don't really remember it a whole lot now, but I know that I missed the second day of school, which meant (for some reason) that I had no idea of the timetable. I know that I spent the rest of the day trying to find someone and to apologise and explain. Usual regret stuff.

In other news... no, there's not a lot of other news really. I rang dad to wish him a happy father's day. They've had a quite busy day today, which is great!

My arm's itchy today. It looks rather red where I've scratched it.

Rang Demon today to find out why the connection isn't any faster. It seems the migration has started but not completed, but the provisioning team aren't around on a weekend so I couldn't get any more information.

Also today, I hoovered. Yes, it was that exciting a day that hoovering was one of the most interesting things to happen.

Went to Julian's barbeque today, for his 'birthday get together', which was quite fun. Although I've caught the sun quite a bit and my face and arm are a tad warm this evening. It was nice out, but I didn't think it was that hot really. I guess I was wrong. My legs ache because it's a reasonable walk from the train station, too! But I saw people and was sociable in a limited way.

I think the broadband has been upgraded to the faster speed now - although I can't tell because the way I currently access things, through the Speedtouch USB connection, doesn't support ADSL2+. So... I'll have to get a new router to see that.

I'm quite tired now. I didn't get to sleep until around 6:30, so I'd be tired anyhow. But walking there and back and actually having people around has made me quite tired.

Last nights dream was about packing to leave in a car, though I didn't want to go. The one a couple of nights ago was about having to kill dad. I think it's a bit odd to be dreaming about doing things that you know you have to do even when you don't want to. I'm pretty sure that responding to voices that tell you to do things you don't want to do is bad. Even if it is in your dreams. And killing Dad's not a good thing either. Sorry dad.

My fingers are sore today, from being bitten. My mood over the last few days still hasn't improved. Pretty fed up really .

I think I might change my alarm clock music, because I'm pretty sure that Lights, by Archive isn't going to be helping. Changed to Dreamland, by Robert Miles which might be better.

I've got a load of mail backed up that I've not dealt with. I just can't seem to find any energy for that.

My dreams are a little more disturbing than usual.

I wish there was something to look forward to.

Watching Pushing Daisies today; Olive Snook's holding a book called 'The Double Negative - What You Shouldn't Not Know". Amused me greatly .

Ian set 2 mouse traps 2 days ago Ian: now there's 1 empty trap Ian's not best pleased - it must mean it's wrapped around a mouse corpse now rotting somewhere under the house gerph: Maybe you caught Mr Mouse And Mrs mouse, distraught at the horrible manner of her husbands death, purloined the body. Or would have if she could have extricated it from its mechanism of its demise. So, having found the body to be held in such a, for want of a better word, deathly grip, she decided to take the entire contraption with her. Little known to her that this would cause concern and displeasure in Ian, the setter of that mortal invention. [ The Mouse Trap; Me ]

I can't quite get the right tone, but it's meant to be in the style of Pushing Daisies' Narrator.

I like Pushing Daisies. It's a nice fairy story where the world is a nicer place, and people are as cute and wonderful as they are in my head. Except for the murders. Those aren't quite so bizarre in my head.

Very tired again today, but feeling a little better to hear from Christina. Unfortunately the content of her email was less than good - I hope things get better for her soon .

I'm still sore today. It's sore when I bend over or get up. It's kinda amusing really as I don't think I've done anything odd to make myself feel sore. Oh well. And 'Ouch' .
