I actually saw the last 40 minutes of 'Threads' tonight - I wish I'd seen the rest. So I've now seen the last 40 minutes and 20-50 minutes into the programme when I was 8. Still quite disturbing, but not as much as it was when I was younger. I was quite surprised, though to see the number of 'Thanks' at the end (and also it's been a long time since I've seen a programme which had completely silent end credits!) and in particular a thanks for a 'Prof Carl Sagan'. It's probable that the others are well known as well, but Mr Sagan's name jumped out at me.
