Diary (August 2003)

Threats from Iyonix people that resulted in my removing all the software from the site, and some random Caroline ramble.

Stapler.

That's not just a stapler! That's an offensive weapon.

Argh! I've stapled my finger.

More threats from Iyonix people.

Diary update today specially for the second threat from Iyonix people. One threat is reasonable, but two...

I have very valid reasons for not wanting to have anything to do with making the Iyonix version of my components. Regardless of that, they're my programs and if I say I don't want to do that, that's my right.

I don't think (other than people complaining about not finding any porn on the Helen Rayner Shrine), I've had any abuse whatsoever about anything related to RISC OS. And yet two abusive emails seems a little too much of a coincidence.

Anyhow, in all its glory... here's the email... Well. One of them. There were 9, all the same.

Dreams.

A couple of nights ago I had another of those strange dreams that I seem to have. The world was about to end - we'd just seen the sun explode and so I knew we had 8 and a half minutes left before the efects began to reach us (ok, that's about the time it takes the light to reach us, so unless the explosion was travelling at half the speed of light it would reach us after that, but this is my dream and it doesn't have to make full scientific - or emotional - sense). I ran out of the house and started checking people on the streets - who were completely oblivious to this silent countdown, and oddly enough there were people outside shopping - looking for Caroline. All the while I'm checking my watch and counting down the minutes. Finally I find her and we go home and there's just enough time to say a few things before the atmosphere is stripped away and the planet incinerated.

So, that was kinda odd.

Then, yesterday, I had a dream that I was doing a half hour test at school and I spent most of my time chatting to the people at the next desk. Then I was panicing because I'd not finished the test because of that.

And today I had a dream, but I don't remember it. Which is annoying, because it was today's dream that prompted me to write up the last two. I'd not like to interpret them. I'm not sure I'd like what I might find.

Apocalypse Tracks

Apocalypse tracks...

  • Sting - Russians
  • Nik Kershaw - I won't let the sun go down on me
  • Frankie Goes To Hollywood - Two Tribes
  • Marillion - Fugazi
  • Blue Oyster Cult - Don't Fear The Reaper

Bah, quite a poor list. I need to find more.
