Diary (May 2002)

The diary returns; the BT telephone, and bizarre snippets.

Updated the website diary!

The diary has finally been updated to have February, March and April entries. Just in time for May to be out of date. Oh well.

Seems like it's exams at the moment for most people, so talking to them on Egham isn't as often as previously.

Looking back at the last entry, on the 14th, I notice mention of the Karma Chameleon 'phone. I posted about this to the EH newsletter asking people to ring in. Which is a bit cruel, but hey, people do that all the time. Anyhow, it seems that BT have actually put people on to looking at whether it's viable. Probably won't be, but what the hell.

Bought the family a PC so that they can get used to using it. It's mainly because Mum was needing to use it at work and so it would be useful if she had the same sort of system at home as at work. Well, it might help. Plus, it might help Julian and Dad. Maybe.

BT Telephone.

The BT Karma Chameleon telephone has apparently had many queries from people after the advertisements on telly. Although they were completely confused when I rang up their sales department immediately after Mum saw the first advert, their comments department now has information and say they are actively looking into the feasibility of producing it en masse.

That's just so funky <grin>. I'm obviously not the only one asking about it, but it's cool nonetheless.

A little note from MIA and Martin Luther King, which is worthy of note, not least because of its simple surroundings. Not that the rest of his work is unworthy of note, but being a lesser known work it's nice to see.

Scarey dream.

I was visiting Simon and a friend in a tower block in my dream last night, and Sue, who had come with me for some reason, decided to leave by the outside window. And she fell. She was just hanging on to the window as she moved along the ledge and then she let go of the window with her right hand and just fell.

We had to ring the emergency services, and Simon couldn't say where they lived for some reason, and the tower block was really mucky and awful. I was woken by the telephone, but... it was very scary.
