Diary (May 1988)

These were not originally entered into the computerised diary. On 24th August 2003, Julian and Simon found a small notebook in one of the boxes in their room, containing diary entries from around the last year of Primary School. These entries have been written up and listed here. Only minor corrections have been written, and you don't have to put up with the attrocious handwriting.

I was 11, penultimate year of primary school and these entries appear to be around the last days of school and the first days of the summer holidays.

[Not quite sure how that works - Justin, aged 26]

Maths at school, most of the time. Painting the fence at home. Got it in my heir [Sorry, I've left that spelling mistake in - Justin, aged 26]. Had a game of badminton (passing the shuttlecock to each other; highest hits we got was 10) till seven thirty. After school we (that is me, Julian, Tim, Simon, Gary - Simon only played a little) played a game of football (me, birthdayboy, Simon and Gary versus Tim in goal).

Super time at school (for once). Lunch was good too, after lunch we had a video - Robin Hood, the Walt Disney Version (we have video on wet play times but I can't go into that now, now where was I, ah...) After playtime, or video time which ever you prefer - now back to the subject, after video time (let's not go into that again) we had the end of the BFG (Big Friendly Giant) which took up one hour. Then we wrote a book review on the BFG which took up the reset of the afternoon. After school we went to Lincoln, that took till Five Thirty. I set the bar up. At six o'clock Julian went to Beavers. I watched the television till seven when Julian came home. Then we had tea. After tea we watched Television till bed time.
